Abstract | The article is devoted to summarizing and outlining the prospects of conducting environmental scientific investigations in Uman NUH. The basic research areas of the Department of Ecology and Life Safety are given: the scientific basis of conditions of agricultural production development of high environmental quality; environmental monitoring of the components of natural and semi-natural ecosystems, evaluation of pollutants content in stockbreeding products, anthropoecological monitoring; development of methodological approaches to the preservation and enrichment of biological diversity; exploration of the possibility of introducing production technologies of high environmental quality products in green farmsteads – eco-tourism objects; application of geo-informational technologies in environmental monitoring, civil protection and ecological tourism. For each of the areas, the results of research are presented, including: vermiculture and its use as a mean of biological recycling of organic waste; bioindication of pollutants in air, soil and food; implementation of geographic-informational systems and others. | ||
