Abstract The data are presented on Cyclamen coum Mill., as a perspective decorative species in cultural flora of Right-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. According to the results of the observations it is noticed that despite the southern origin of Cyclamen coum Mill. it has proved to be stable to the conditions of the Right-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. As a result of studying biometric parameters of investigated cyclamen species it is determined that in the process of introduction vegetative and generative organs of plants have not been changed. In studying the morphogenesis of C. coum in conditions of the Right-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine it is noticed that all the cycles of development and growth are in accordance with the biological characteristics of the species. Observations of phenological phases of plant development showed that vegetation of C. coum is caused by the establishment of an average temperature within 0-3ºC; respectively calendar dates vary depending on the climatic conditions of the year. During the years of research self-seeding was observed, indicating a successful acclimatization to the conditions of the Right- Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. This can be explained by the softening of the climatic conditions in recent years. Under the conditions of cultivation vegetative propagation of cyclamen is possible, but due to the morphological peculiarities of tuber of C. coum vegetative propagation method is inefficient as rotting of separate parts is often observed. Over the years of research of this cyclamen species the resistance to diseases and pests was observed. The results of introduction of Cyclamen coum Mill. into conditions of the Right-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine allowed estimating it as a plant of good reproductive capacity, cold resistance, resistance to diseases and pests and high decorative properties, so it can be recommended for use in landscaping for winter-early spring period of planting decorativeness.
